Thus begins a series of naming out the preseason top 25, beginning with number 25 West Virginia.....
#25 West Virginia
2009-2010: 9-4...lost in Gator Bowl to Florida State
The West Virginia Mountaineers have been one of the bastions of consistency in College Football's Big East Conference. They are a contender in the conference every year and won the conference in 2008 en route to a Fiesta Bowl victory over Oklahoma. West Virginia may have lost quarterback Jarrett Brown, but their system of offense allows for another to step right in for Brown. The key to the entire Mountaineers offense is the O-Line. WVU relies heavily on the O-Line because they rely heavily on the running game. Senior Running Back Noel Devine can certainly be a difference maker and a complete stud. He can make plays where there shouldn't be one; nonetheless. Devine will need help from the hogs up front. The Offensive Line for WVU returns four starters from last season. This will help make the O-Line sturdy and successful. With a successful Offensive Line come a successful season for West Virginia.
2010-2011 Outlook:
Key Games: November 26th at Pittsburgh (The Backyard Brawl may have Orange Bowl implications)
Season Record: 9-3, 5-2 (losses at LSU, versus South Florida, and at Pittsburgh)
